What is Dekton?

Dekton is an ultra-compact surface material created by Cosentino, using a sophisticated blend of raw materials commonly found in glass, porcelain, and quartz. The manufacturing process, known as Particle Sintering Technology (PST), involves subjecting these materials to extreme heat and pressure, resulting in a highly durable, non-porous, and versatile surface.

Why Dekton?

Dekton is an outstanding choice for countertops due to its unique combination of durability, versatility, and low maintenance. Made using an advanced sinterization process, Dekton is incredibly resistant to scratches, impacts, and high temperatures, allowing hot pots and pans to be placed directly on its surface without damage. Its non-porous nature ensures it remains stain-resistant and easy to clean, requiring no sealing. Additionally, Dekton’s UV resistance prevents color fading, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Available in a wide range of colors and finishes, Dekton offers consistent quality and design flexibility, making it a top choice for homeowners seeking a durable, beautiful, and low-maintenance countertop solution.

How to care for Dekton?

Caring for Dekton countertops is easy due to their durability and non-porous surface. For daily cleaning, use mild soap or detergent with warm water and a soft cloth. For tougher stains, apply a non-abrasive cleaner like glass cleaner or a water-vinegar mix, letting it sit for a few minutes before wiping. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals. Although Dekton is heat-resistant, using trivets or hot pads is recommended to prevent thermal shock. Use cutting boards to protect the surface from scratches. Dekton requires no sealing, waxing, or polishing, making it a low-maintenance and long-lasting choice for countertops.
